Child Safety Standards
1. Minimum age and access to the platform
VIBEST is a platform reserved exclusively for adults aged 18 or over. Sign-up requires a date of birth; accounts declared as belonging to minors are rejected at registration.
The app is rated 18+ on Apple's App Store and Mature 17+ on Google Play. On Google Play, access is also restricted for users identified as minors by Google's system.
2. Zero tolerance towards CSAM/CSAE
The following content is prohibited and removed immediately:
- Content that depicts, describes or suggests sexual abuse or exploitation of minors (CSAM, Child Sexual Abuse Material)
- Content that sexualises real people or characters depicting minors
- Solicitation, grooming or attempts at inappropriate contact with minors
- Content that promotes, normalises or makes acceptable any form of exploitation or abuse of minors
- Child sexual abuse material, including artificially generated material (AI / deepfake)
- Content that violates any international child protection law
Accounts responsible for such violations are permanently banned and reported to the competent authorities.
3. Prevention and moderation measures
To prevent the publication and spread of prohibited content, VIBEST uses the following mechanisms:
- Automated moderation with SightEngine: every image and every video frame uploaded is analysed in real time by SightEngine, a moderation service that includes classifiers dedicated to detecting child sexual abuse material, child nudity and sexually explicit content. Content flagged as risky is blocked before publication.
- User reporting system: every post, comment, profile, chat message, Shop item, listing and Day Vibe can be reported at any time by any user, with a mandatory reason. There is a dedicated report category, "Child safety / CSAM".
- Administrative moderation panel: the VIBEST team manually reviews high-priority reports (minors) within 24 hours. Content can be removed, users banned and the registration of new linked accounts blocked.
- Two-way blocks: every user can block another user; the block is two-way and prevents any form of interaction (viewing, chat, mentions).
- Audit log: all reports and moderation actions are recorded in a security log for accountability and to support the authorities in case of investigations.
4. How to report child abuse or exploitation content
If you find content, profiles or conversations on VIBEST that you suspect of CSAM or child grooming, please report them immediately in one of these ways:
- From the app: open the suspicious post/profile/message, tap the kebab menu (•••) and select Report. Choose the category "Child safety / CSAM".
- By URGENT email: write to support@vibestapp.com with the subject "URGENT CSAM". Include (if possible) screenshots, a direct link to the content and the author's username.
5. Cooperation with the authorities
VIBEST actively cooperates with the competent child protection authorities. When CSAM content is confirmed:
- We preserve the necessary evidence (content, metadata, logs) for investigations, in compliance with applicable law.
- We report cases to the competent Italian authorities, in particular the Polizia Postale e delle Comunicazioni through the portal commissariatodips.it.
- We cooperate with the reference international child protection bodies, including NCMEC (missingkids.org) and INHOPE (inhope.org).
- We provide the information requested by judicial authorities in compliance with the GDPR and Italian privacy law.
6. Reference standards
VIBEST is committed to the following international standards on online child safety:
- Voluntary Principles to Counter Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (Five Country Ministerial)
- WeProtect Global Alliance guidelines on an integrated response to CSAE
- European Union rules on combating online child sexual abuse (Regulation (EU) 2021/1232 and subsequent proposals)
- Tech Coalition guidelines on CSAM prevention
- Google Play Families and App Store Review Guidelines on child safety
7. Designated point of contact
For any communication, report or request for information about child safety on the VIBEST platform, the designated point of contact is:
Recommended subject for top priority: "URGENT CSAM" or "Child safety"
Target response time: within 24 hours (CSAM reports); within 72 hours (general requests)
Anonymous reports are accepted. However, to allow follow-up and more effective investigations, we recommend providing a valid email address.
